Pastor Larry and Diana Elies founded Lahaina Christian Fellowship (LCF) in the late 60's. Over the following five decades, LCF has seen many changes, and the Lord has been consistent through it all. The church met in many different locations including schools, warehouses, restaurants, and hotels. During the "Jesus movement" revival in the 1960’s many young people came to the Lord.
In 2018, Lahaina Christian Fellowship came under the leadership of Copper Pointe Church (CPC) and is now a network campus pastored by Justin and Kate Perez. Based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Copper Pointe Church is co-pastored by Galen Woodward and his son Dustin Woodward.
Their practical teaching is not only life-applicable, but is personal and meaningful. Their passion and excitement propels CPC forward to reach beyond our walls into our cities, across the border, and around the world.
They encourage others by their dedication and commitment to the work God is doing. Their passion for the days to come brings life and excitement for the future as we continue leading imperfect people to a perfect God.
Join us this Sunday at our English or Spanish service.
Justin and Kate Perez, along with their daughter Margaret, were called to the island of Maui through Copper Pointe Church, to pastor Lahaina Christian Fellowship as a network campus of Copper Pointe.
Both Justin and Kate were called to ministry and began their journey through serving the local church, participating, and graduating from the Copper Pointe School of Leadership. Since graduating they have been apart of leading and serving at CPC, working in the mission field, as well as working alongside ARC (Association of Related Churches) to assist in church plants around the United States.
Their passion for people and to see lives transformed through the power and love of Jesus Christ, fuels the operation here in Maui at Lahaina Christian Fellowship.

[fade]What we Believe[/fade]
[slide-left]IN ESSENTIAL BELIEFS: WE HAVE UNITY
“There is one Body and one Spirit…there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism and one God and Father of us all…”
IN ALL OUR BELIEFS: WE SHOW CHARITY
“...if I hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but also the very secrets of God, and if I have the faith that can
move mountains - but have no love, I amount to nothing at all.”
1 Corinthians 13:2
IN NON-ESSENTIAL BELIEFS: WE HAVE LIBERTY
“Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters… Who are you to judge someone else’s servant?
To his own master he stands or falls… So then each of us will give an account of himself to God…
So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God.”
Romans 14:1, 4, 12, 22[/slide-left]
One God - The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent “I AM,” the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Spirit - commonly known as the Trinity (Deut. 6-4, Isaiah 43:10-11, Matt. 28:19).
The Deity of Jesus Christ - Jesus Christ is the Son of God. The Scriptures declare: His virgin birth (Matt. 1:23, Luke 1:31-35). His sinless life (Heb 7;26, 1 Peter 2:22). His miracles (Acts 2:22, Acts 10:38). His substitutionary sacrifice on the cross (1 Cor. 15:3, 2 Cor. 5:21). His bodily resurrection from the dead (Matt. 28:6, Luke 24:39, 1 Cor.15:4).His ascension to the right hand of God (Acts 1:9-11, Heb. 1:3).
The Holy Spirit - We believe that the Holy Spirit is the caring Spirit of God the Father who empowers us to live holy lives and to minister to those around us more effectively. We believe that the Holy Spirit baptizes us (a) into the Body of Christ, (b) into the fullness of His supernatural power. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all the biblical spiritual gifts (Gal 5:16, Luke 24:49, Acts 1:8, 1 Cor. 12).
The Church - The Church has a mission to seek and save all who have not come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. We believe “the Church” consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption - regardless of religious denomination - through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ (Matt. 28:19-20, Eph. 1:22-23, 2:19-22).
The Blessed Hope - We believe in the personal, visible return of Christ to the earth. We believe in the resurrection of the body and the final judgment resulting in the eternal blessing of the righteous and the endless punishment of the wicked (1 Thes. 4:16-17, Matt. 25:31-46).[/slide-right]
